Tests performed between the 11th and 14th weeks of pregnancy:
In the 11th week of pregnancy, ultrasound examination is performed and the nuchal thickness of the baby is measured. Then a double test is performed. The dual test cannot be performed after the 14th week of pregnancy.
Tests performed between the 16th and 20th weeks of pregnancy:
Triple and quadruple tests are performed between the 16th and 20th weeks of pregnancy. If the results of the tests are risky, amniocentesis may be required.
Tests performed between 24th and 28th weeks of pregnancy:
The expectant mother is given a sugar loading test. 50 gram glucose loading test is performed between 24th and 28th weeks of pregnancy. If the result of the test is 140 and above, a 100 gram OGTT test is performed. If a sugar loading test cannot be performed in these gestational weeks, fasting and postprandial blood sugar should be checked in the following gestational weeks.
If there is a blood incompatibility between the expectant mother and the expectant father, an IDC test is performed at the 28th week of pregnancy. If the test is negative, there is no adverse effect between mother and baby due to blood incompatibility. However, a blood incompatibility injection is still given.
Tests performed between the 35th and 37th weeks of pregnancy:
Between the 35th and 37th weeks of pregnancy, the expectant mother is screened for Group B streptococcus. In the last weeks of pregnancy, NST can be performed to determine whether the baby is in distress. In addition to the NST, the biophysical profile is another test to assess the condition of the baby.
