Symptoms of Myoma; fibroids in the uterus are defined as benign tumours consisting of uterine tissue, usually ranging from 1-15 cm in diameter. Myomas are tumours that develop in women of reproductive age. 1 out of every 3 women over the age of 35 is diagnosed with fibroids. The increase in the hormone estrogen can lead to the growth of fibroids. Therefore, fibroids tend to grow during puberty and pregnancy. However, since the estrogen hormone decreases during menopause, they usually shrink. Fibroids are grouped according to their location.
Uterine fibroids are a common type of non-cancerous tumour that can grow in and on your uterus. Not all fibroids cause symptoms, but when they do, symptoms can include heavy menstrual bleeding, back pain, frequent urination and pain during sexual intercourse. Small fibroids usually do not need treatment, but larger fibroids can be treated with medicines or surgery.

Submucous Fibroids
Submucous fibroids are fibroids that grow into the lining of the uterus. These fibroids commonly cause bleeding symptoms. Bleeding is characterised by intense bleeding during menstruation and the menstrual period is prolonged. For this reason, it may cause anaemia.
Intramural fibroids
These fibroids are located in the muscle tissue of the uterus. It is commonly seen. It causes prolonged menstrual period and anaemia. However, it can cause pain in the abdomen and compress the bladder. For this reason, complaints of frequent urination may occur.
Subserous Fibroids
Subserous fibroids are fibroids that grow towards the outer surface of the uterus. While they do not cause bleeding problems like other types of fibroids; they may cause problems such as abdominal pain, back pain, frequent urination.

Fibroids can grow as a single nodule (single growth) or in a cluster. Clusters of fibroids can be as large as 1 millimetre to more than 20 centimetres (8 inches) in diameter or larger. For comparison, fibroids can be as small as a seed or as big as a watermelon. These growths can develop on the wall of your uterus, inside the main cavity of your uterus or on the outside surface of your uterus.
Are fibroids common?
Fibroids are a very common type of growth. About 40 per cent to 80 per cent of people with a uterus have fibroids. They are most common in people between the ages of 30 and 50. What is the pain of uterine fibroids like?
There are various sensations you can experience if you have fibroids. If you have small fibroids, you may not feel anything and may not even realise they are there. But for larger fibroids, you may experience discomfort and pain. Fibroids can cause you to feel back pain, stabbing pain in your abdomen and even pain during sex.
How do fibroids look?
Fibroids are usually round growths that look like smooth bumps. In some cases they can be attached by a thin stalk, which gives them a mushroom-like appearance.
How are fibroids diagnosed?

However, it is also possible to detect fibroids as a result of ultrasonography performed after consulting a doctor due to the above-mentioned symptoms. Only a part of fibroids can be detected on ultrasound. For this reason, the underlying causes may be overlooked.
